The visual workshop is about ?life journeying? as seen from a Native woman?s perspective. As parts are contrasted and managed, a symbolic butterfly emerges to identify links to live respectfully in our multiplicity of world view systems. It identifies spirit-rootedness as the flexibility of journeying and accessing different realms of reality even as we work in our contemporary programs with a traditional sense of our spheres of influence.
We will 1) learn about living respectfully in our life journeying with mind, heart and spirit in Euro-Americanized societies. 2) learn how to process information differently to uncover our inner strengths in multiple worlds. 3) identify how our lives allow us the flexibility of journeying and accessing different realms of reality as we manage contemporary programs in a traditional world.
We need to acknowledge this collectively and strengthen natural lifeways to reclaim, redefine and reaffirm our culturally inclusive collective wellness.
