Shanequa Evans is the Program Coordinator of the Promise Youth University Program at Rutgers University-Newark. In her role, she works collaboratively with school and community partners to support community initiatives through Engage Fairmount, a Wells Fargo collaborative initiative. Evans has managed educational programs for more than six years and is a proud native of Paterson, NJ. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Leadership of Public Organizations at Rutgers University. Evans joined the CDF Freedom Schools® family in 2018, serving as a Site Coordinator. She recently became the Project Director for the NewArk CDF Freedom Schools site and is a first-year Ella Baker Trainer.
