Morgan James is a dancer and elementary school teacher born and raised in Baltimore, MD. She began dancing at 6 years old and now owns her own dance company, Brio Dance Arts, LLC. James received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Morgan State University and currently teaches 3rd grade at Randallstown Elementary School in Baltimore. James began serving with CDF Freedom Schools® program in 2017 with the P.O.P. CDF Freedom Schools site as an SLI and assistant site coordinator. She currently serves as a third-year Ella Baker Trainer. James believes all students can learn when provided with a nurturing environment in which to grow and is an avid advocate for engaging classroom culture, culturally relevant pedagogy, and a growth-mindset approach to education.
