Dr. Eli Wilson, Jr., Director of the Resurrection Choir and Proctor Minister of Music, is an ordained church musician with 40 years of service in the church music ministry. He is currently the founder and CEO of Eli Wilson Ministries, Inc., a church music education ministry. He served as a minister of music at the St. Paul Community Baptist Church in Brooklyn. In 1993, Dr. Wilson accepted the position of associate pastor of music at the Emmanuel Baptist Church of Brooklyn. In 1999, he became associate pastor of music and performing arts at the New Covenant Baptist Church of Orlando. Dr. Wilson’s recordings include: “Introducing Eli Wilson, Jr.: God’s Word Shall Stand Forevermore” and “In My Quiet Time.” He did his undergraduate work at Dillard University and his postgraduate work at Colgate-Rochester Divinity School and the Eastman School of Music in the areas of Christian education and sacred music. In 1990, he received the Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters degree from Virginia Seminary and College.
