Call your member of Congress and insist that your elected officials take common sense approaches to gun violence prevention: ban assault weapons and high capacity magazines, close loopholes in the current background check system, raise the age for the purchase of long guns, raise red flags when law enforcement and family members’ concerns warrant denial of gun purchases, ban devices like bump stocks that allow shooters to increase the rate of fire in semi-automatic weapons, and protect victims of domestic violence by extending gun restrictions to perpetrators.
