No child should have to worry where her next meal will come from or whether she will have a place to sleep in the richest nation on earth. Yet nearly 1 in 6 children?about 12 million?live in poverty and face these realities every day. In this session, we will explore opportunities to fulfill our moral imperative to end child poverty now. Together, we will study the harms and costs of child poverty, consider our collective and individual roles in ending it, and review policies, initiatives and direct actions to improve the odds for poor children in our communities and congregations.
