Elder Kathleen Wan Povi Sanchez M.A., a native spirit-rooted Tewa social activist, community educator, traditional black ware potter from San Ildefonso Pueblo, New Mexico. Kathy is among founding mothers (1989) and current Environmental Health and Justice program manager for Tewa Women United (TWU), a 501(c)3 org. advocating for positive transformative social changes. Her work also includes developing transpective tools for local, national and international cross cultural communications. She has been doing innovative environmental justice strategies which are culturally appropriate from a Native women?s perspective for over 25 years.
