As executive director of Children’s Defense Fund-Texas, Patrick Bresette oversees all CDF-Texas operations including policy, research, and advocacy activities at the state and local level; field activities in the Houston Region, the Rio Grande Valley and in East Texas. He manages relationships with key funders and supporters, represents the organization at local, state and national forums and in key partnership coalitions, and helps to manage a current staff of fifteen across four offices. Bresette has led policy and advocacy work on behalf of low-income families and marginalized communities for 30 years.
Bresette holds an MPA from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin and a BFA in Sculpture from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University.
