David has been apart of CDF Freedom Schools for 20 years. As an Ella Baker Trainer, being apart of this movement has been a life changing experience for him. Being able to find his why and helping to be a servant for the movement pushed him to want to make a change. Outside of CDF Freedom Schools, David is pursuing his Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction. He was named Teacher of the Year and is a fifth grade math teacher in South Carolina. David has started a Non-Profit called Why Not Young Lives with the goal of providing educational resources and scholastic opportunities.
