A Haitian-born, womanist theologian and practitioner, Rev. Jean-Marie is a graduate of Vanderbilt Divinity School and ordained clergy in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Currently based in Nashville, TN, Rev. Jean-Marie most recently served as the Director of Racial Justice Ministries for Scarritt Bennett Center, and she previously served as Dean of the Chapel for Bethany College and pastor of Bethany Memorial Church in West Virginia and chaplain for Jarvis Christian College in Texas. Her favorite and most meaningful role she plays in life is auntie to 9 nephews (1 deceased) and 1 niece.
