Windila Balbone is a poet and the author of A Universe of Broken Matters, and a 2017 Children’s Defense Fund-NY Beat the Odds Scholar and Advocate. She recently received her bachelor’s degree in International Relations & Affairs from State University of New York at Potsdam.
